The Pottery Challenge is a weekly meeting on Teams every Monday 8-9pm (UK time).
12 pottery items made in 12 weeks.
Aims for this challenge:
- Skill Development: Our Pottery Challenge can provide for you a platform to develop and improve your pottery skills, such as hand-building, wheel-throwing, glazing, and firing techniques.
- Creativity and Expression: Our Pottery Challenge can provide an opportunity for you to express your creativity and imagination through the creation of unique and beautiful pieces of pottery.
- Community Building: Ou Pottery Challenge can bring you potters together with a shared passion for pottery, providing a platform for you to connect, collaborate, and share ideas and techniques.
- Recognition and Accomplishment: Participating in Our Pottery Challenge can provide recognition and a sense of accomplishment for you potters who have dedicated time and effort to the creation of your pieces.
- Inspiration and Motivation: Our Pottery Challenge can provide inspiration and motivation for you to continue practicing and honing your pottery skills.
- Exposure and Networking Opportunities: Our Pottery Challenge can provide opportunities for you Potters to showcase your work and connect with other pottery enthusiasts, including artists, collectors, and galleries.
- Technical Mastery: Our Pottery challenge can provide a platform for you Potters to test your technical abilities and push the boundaries of your skills.
- Learning from Others: Our Pottery challenge can provide opportunities for you Potters to observe and learn from other potters and to share feedback and constructive criticism.
- Historical and Cultural Connection: Pottery has a rich history and cultural significance, and participating in Our Pottery Challenge can provide an opportunity for you to connect with your heritage and tradition.
Everyone who likes pottery is welcome to join and your level of expertise is not important.
Every week, potters, you will be given a topic to study and work with. Along side this topic, we will add new crafts and tools to explore with. We hope that attending our weekly Challenges will inspire you and you will find creative processes exciting and interesting.
Every week you can attend, you will be invited to create something on paper, and then in clay. If you have clay at home, great! If you don’t, you are welcome to pop in our workshop in Wicken, we will supply you with some.
Monday nights, by your computer ready, you will need an A3 sketch book, a marker pen, a pencil and a bit of clay!

Some participants of The Pottery Challenge expressed the desire to contribute financially to our weekly meeting. This is acceptable but not compulsory.
