Including baby Orla, you were over 60 to help me this weekend. 37 of you turned up on Saturday alone. I am blessed. I miss my Chris terribly and with all of you, I find a little strength to carry on, one small step at the time… to stand up and keep walking. I am grateful to all of you. The Ginger cat is a boy cat that comes with my new accommodation. He didn’t have a name, he is now called Coca. There isn’t a bath in the garage, there is a motorbike in my bathroom. My husband Chris would have appreciated this very much. And some shots of The Ceramic Hub being dismantled… it was so kind of everyone to help me step by step in that process. I send you all big hugs and kind thoughts. Xx

10 - Portraiture
11 - Toys in clay
12 - Sharing and painting

Join us! If you already know your pottery basics, you do not have to follow this program; it is there for the fun of teaching beginners the most of hand building techniques.

Dearest Potters and Friends, I wish to thank you

Dearest Potters and Friends,

I wish to thank you greatly as a group before I get the opportunity to do so individually.

Being part of the community we created around our passion for clay is one good reason for me to get up in the morning and your kindness is truly keeping me going but goodness, it is tough, so tough.

Chris would want me to stay strong but without him, I often feel as strong as a poorly little kitten.

An inquest for my Chris is opening in 29th August.

I will do my best to drive mum back to France this weekend and come back soon after.

My friend Fiona and family have surrounded me and my cats with the gentle attention that is needed in this transition. They opened their heart and home to us. I am so grateful.

A lot of you have transferred me money, and thanks to your donations that I can afford to pay for my food today, and I now have a safe place to stay with my cats. Gratitude times billions. I pray for what ever you gave me to come back to you times 10, 20, 100’s and more… Thank you. Big thank you.

I send you all big hugs and I hope that you all keep making beautiful treasures in clay, in words and thoughts…

Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, thank you for being there to help me slowly move away from my poorly kitty state of being and walk with me the path of getting the strength of my inner Wonderwoman back. It will take time… love and kindness. One minute of kindness was at the time, mini baby steps.

Je peux verser des larmes parce que Chris est parti,
et je peux aussi sourire parce qu’il a vécu.
Je peux fermer les yeux et supplier la vie pour que Chris revienne,
et je peux ouvrir les yeux et voir toute la magie qu’il me reste de lui.
Mon cœur est peut-être vide parce que je ne peux plus voir Chris
et mon cœur peut être plein d’amour grace à de tout ce que nous avons eu la chance de partager.
Je peux tourner le dos à demain et vivre hier
et je peux aussi être heureuse pour demain en me rappelant d’hier.

Nous nous souviendrons de Chris et du fait qu’il est parti
et nous chérirons sa mémoire et nous la laisserons vivre en nous calmement.
Nous pleurerons surement, et parfois nous fermerons notre esprit, vidés, nous tournerons le dos,
et parfois nous ferons ce que Chris aurait voulu pour nous tous :
Nous sourirons,
Nous ouvrirons les yeux,
Nous aimerons et nous avancerons.

Avec beaucoup d’amour et tous mes remerciements pour les millions de larmes et vos centaines de messages de soutiens et de gentillesse. Merci de partager ma peine et l’agonie émotionnelle d’avoir perdu Chris aussi soudainement. Avec force et courage, Mathieu, maman et moi allons rejoindre nos amis à présent pour célébrer la vie de Chris.

One of Chris’s favourite songs was MC Hammer, U can’t touch this. We are going to celebrate his life on 8th. No flowers needed, no dress code, just you. Odd socks maybe, if you feel like it. After the funeral, we’ll all meet in Moulton Hall where our friend Zayana will prepare profiteroles, teas and coffees for everyone. Thank you all for your kind messages and the millions of tears. See you all next Thursday. X

Successes this week: little house from the auction is now at home with us at the Hub, check! Our amazing Polly Adorable Angel @keep.life.colourful has her Udu (drum) out of the kiln in one piece, it looks great, can’t wait to hear it play tomorrow! Happy drum, check! Learning slab building for our thrower Mike, check! Clay hat for the mannequin by my mum, check! Gigi is back, Woop woop! Thanks to Gigi we have flowers in the vase made in memory of my uncle Daniel, check! Raku firing today done! Little blue roof house with tine #succulents ! I started doing Pottery to Remember items when I m

I started doing Pottery to Remember items when I met my friend George. He sadly had lost his wife Julie and was crying in a meeting. I make him a little vase with the name of his wife engraved in the clay. Since, I have not stopped making those little pots. The magic of the people who left us may continue by regularly putting fresh flowers in the beautiful little vases. I am very proud of what I do and grateful too.

Lovely day spent with Mum, Zoe and the ladies from the Lino Printing Workshop. We have to ask Zoe to come to The Ceramic Hub soon to offer one of her brilliant workshop. It was relaxing and delightful. Fun to be with like minded people and I am sure our potters will enjoy having a go at Lino Printing.
