In this 12 weeks weekly classes, you will learn or brush up your hand-building techniques whilst having fun creating beautiful ceramics.

Join us for a Creative Journey in Clay

We offer 12-week pottery classes, three times a year – a perfect opportunity to explore your creativity, learn something new, and connect with a supportive community of makers.

Whether you’re completely new to clay or have years of experience, our classes are designed to be both inspiring and accessible. If you’re just starting out, we’ll guide you through a series of simple and fun hand-building projects to help you get comfortable with the basics. For more experienced potters, our sessions offer the chance to deepen your skills, try new techniques, and enjoy the process of creating in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Each week, one of our talented potters will demonstrate a new technique or share their knowledge on a pottery-related topic—something for everyone to learn and enjoy, regardless of experience level.

What You’ll Need

The only things you’ll need to bring are your own pottery tools, a clean apron, and a hand towel. Everything else is included in the price—clay, expert tuition, coloured glazes, and all firings.

If you’d like to keep creating at home, you’re welcome to take clay with you. We just ask that you weigh it and transfer £5 per kilo. Depending on how many pieces you make, there may be a small additional fee for bisque firing. Extra charges will also apply for home-use glazes, especially our premium colours, which we’ve carefully chosen for their exceptional quality. Gold or platinum finishes are available by donation to help us keep these luxurious options stocked.

Important Booking Info

Please make sure you can attend all 12 classes before booking, as sessions are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. If you know in advance that you’ll miss one session, let us know before the term starts, and we can adjust your fee (this is limited to one session per term).

We do ask that each student owns their own set of pottery tools. We’re happy to lend a few if needed from time to time, but having your own will make your experience more enjoyable.

Flexible Options at Ely College

At our Ely College location, we offer a flexible “pay-as-you-go” option for potters with on-call work commitments. This is also available if you’d like to try a session or two before signing up for the full term. One-off sessions are £50 each – please contact Corinne at corinne@theceramichub.co.uk to check availability.
